```
New theme color `input.misspelled`.
5c484c26ed fix: Fix not saving first created account
Commit 81f92f1fe introduced a selective update mechanism to
_accounts_save() to prevent overwrites when running multiple instances
by only modifying the specific account being saved.
There was one mistake: the logic for adding a new
account was tied to the final iteration of a loop over
existing accounts.
When starting with an empty accounts file, the
loop never executes though.
We can call g_key_file_set_value() directly and don't need the loop
because this function will only modify one entry or add it if it doesn't
exist.
bfc9eb259c fix: Sanitize account names
GKeyFile parses ini-like config files. So the characters '[', ']',
and '=' cannot be used.
We will replace them with '_' now.
This bug was found when a user wanted to connect to an IPv6 address (user@[ipv6:address]).
One problem could be that we get duplicate account names with they would
use one of those 3 characters. But I consider this very unlikely.
e1fd2a1cf6 refactor: replace calloc with g_new0 for struct allocations
Migrate structure allocations from calloc to glibs g_new0 macro to
improve type safety and memory robustness.
* Type Safety: The macro takes the type name directly, ensuring the
  allocated size always matches the pointer type.
* Static Analysis: It guarantees a non-NULL return by aborting on
  failure, which silences -fanalyzer warnings regarding potential NULL
  pointer dereferences.
* Readability: Removes redundant sizeof() calls and is the glib way
309c0a64a7 fix: define prefs_changes_print outside of prefs_changes
This causes build failures on macOS runners in Homebrew, see:
(guess they were not formatted before) but I assume this PR follow the
style guides
81f92f1fed Fix overwriting new accounts when running multiple instances.
If one is running multiple instances of profanity, the behavior of the
accounts module was to constantly overwrite the accounts file with the
version that was on-disk of the first instance of profanity started.
This is changed now in order to only write what we modified, we keep a
copy of the accounts file and when "saving" we re-read accounts from disk
and only update the values of the modified account.
This is not 100% fool proof if one modifies the same account from two
different instances, but still better than before.
48ac88de08 Fix GError handling
Several users have reported segfaults when starting up profanity which
has OMEMO support, but OMEMO is not set up yet.
@StefanKropp has been able to reproduce this and tracked it down to
`_load_identity()` calling `omemo_known_devices_keyfile_save()`.
The latter then calls `save_keyfile()` which calls
`g_key_file_save_to_file()`. This can then fail if one of the first two
strings is NULL and won't set the `error` on return. In its error handling
`save_keyfile()` unconditionally dereferences `error` which leads to the
segfault.
Fix this and also go through the entire codebase and verify that the usage
of `GError` is done correctly.
c5a131ee46 Introduce our own shutdown callback mechanism.
Instead of adding stuff to `_shutdown()`, we can now register a shutdown
routine from the respective `init()` function of our modules.
This also has the advantage, that we're sure they're called in reverse
order from how the initialization happened.
I didn't simply use `atexit()` because POSIX says that the number of
possible callbacks is limited (min 32) and I was not sure whether
we will maybe extend this number at one point.
f147a5ca27 Change default download location
`/url save $someurl` will now download to
`~/.local/share/profanity/downloads/from_jid/date/filename` instead of
`~/.local/share/profanity/downloads`.
Like this the downloaded files should be better ordered.
This will only happen for MUC and 1:1 chat windows.
Private windows might have only a nick or jid. Lets not distinguish
between those two ways. And since the nick option is unreliable to be
the same person lets just put them in the general downloads folder.
As is done with downloads from all other windows as well.
I also had the idea to make this configurable but this suits my needs
and time limits right now.
23c6936398 Improve MUC title behaviour for roster, statusbar, and titlebar
## Abstract
Continuation of https://github.com/profanity-im/profanity/pull/1881
Give all MUC title commands a consistent command structure and appearance.
- `/roster room use name|jid` and `/roster room show|hide server` are now `/roster room title bookmark|jid|localpart|name`
- `/statusbar room room|jid` is now `/statusbar room title bookmark|jid|localpart|name`
- `/statusbar show|hide jid` and `/statusbar show|hide name` are now `/titlebar room title bookmark|jid|localpart|name`
Fix both bugs mentioned in https://github.com/profanity-im/profanity/pull/1881
### src/ui/mucwin.c:mucwin_generate_title
Called by each command to generate a properly formatted title. It checks for "name" first because "name" is the default preference for each command. The last if-statement sets the title to "localpart" for special cases when the title should be "localpart" instead of the user-defined preference.
## Testing
