T02: guard the receive-path handlers that dereferenced jid_create()
without a NULL check — MUC join errors, subscribed/unsubscribed
presence and, with silence.non-roster enabled, every incoming message.
A stanza with a missing or malformed 'from' crashed the client. The
XEP-0280 carbon path carried the same class twice: the forwarded
message's 'from' was handed to xmpp_jid_bare(), which dereferences the
jid it is given, and a malformed 'to' left the carbon dispatch
dereferencing a NULL jid_create() result (REQ-INP-01)
T11: restrict /url open and /url save to http, https and aesgcm, so a
received file:, javascript: or data: URL is refused (REQ-INP-06); spawn
terminal-notifier through g_spawn_async with an argv instead of
building a shell command for system() (REQ-INP-07); apply the XEP-0359
disco gate to MAM result ids, as live stanza-ids already do
(REQ-INP-05); replace control and bidi-reordering characters in
incoming message bodies with U+FFFD before they reach the terminal, the
logs and the database, keeping LRM/RLM for legitimate RTL text. That
pass now runs on every display path: the OX one, where the call had
been left commented out since the feature landed, and outgoing carbons,
whose body is forwarded by the server (REQ-INP-08); cover JID
part-length boundaries and invalid UTF-8 (REQ-INP-02)
T10: replace strcpy/strcat/alloca and sprintf with g_strdup_printf and
g_snprintf (REQ-MEM-03); allocate the OMEMO key buffers with g_malloc
so a failed allocation cannot reach the following memcpy (REQ-MEM-04);
remove the variable-length arrays and enforce -Werror=vla. Two of them
were sized from remote input: the disco#info feature count and a chat
message word length. The flag also caught a one-past-the-end write and
a leak in the plugin autocompleter bindings (REQ-MEM-09). The OX
receive path leaked every decrypted body, dropping the pointer instead
of freeing it, and a failed strdup no longer costs the message body
- OTR: strip the whitespace tag by shifting the full message tail incl. the NUL, not tag_length bytes, so the body is no longer duplicated for messages longer than the tag.
- presence: snapshot the resource fields before connection_add_available_resource() takes ownership, removing a use-after-free in the own-presence path.
- OMEMO: propagate _omemo_finalize_identity_load() failure on connect (log + cons_show_error + stop) instead of leaving OMEMO silently unavailable.
- OMEMO: guard NULL fingerprint decode in _omemo_fingerprint_decode / omemo_is_trusted_identity / omemo_trust and log every decode failure instead of failing silently.
- stanza-id: gate XEP-0359 dedup on disco urn:xmpp:sid:0 (the `by` JID or its domain), falling back to no-dedup when caps are unknown; add functional tests for trusted vs untrusted server.
- accounts: narrow the group-name sanitizer to the characters GKeyFile forbids in headers ([ ] \n \r), keeping `=` and `#`, so read/write stays symmetric.
- build: re-introduce compiler/sanitizer flags in a Pikaur-safe form (opt-in sanitizers, -Wsign-compare) and fix the resulting -Wsign-compare warnings (incl. proftest _mkdir_recursive).fix: OTR/presence/OMEMO correctness, stanza-id disco gate, build hardening

- Introduce static helper `_truncate_datetime_suffix()` to safely trim datetime strings, removing unwanted suffixes like timezone offsets
- Replace manual string management with auto_gchar and g_strdup for safer, clearer ownership and to prevent leaks
- Add safety checks and logging warnings for unexpected datetime string lengths or null pointers
- Refactor _mam_rsm_id_handler to use the helper function and updated string handling
- Change log_database_get_previous_chat parameters for consistent ownership semantics, avoiding double frees and mem leaks
- Overall improve stability and prevent memory leaks during log database queries
In the documentation of the `muc_nick` function we can read:
> The nickname is owned by the chat room and should not be modified or freed
We should reflect that in the return type and `strdup` the value for the
plugin API.

Sometimes the server is too busy sending other stanzas or our connection is
saturated because of something else, so the pong arrives too late.
Prevent the autoping disconnect event by extending the timeout
each time a stanza is received.

Introduce new feature: sessions_alarm.
Added new account setting: max_connections. On exceeding this number,
user will get an alert. If number is less than 1, no alert will happen.
Tests altered to fit new feature.
Profanity would ignore the silent nick change in some places. The roster
and history would show the correct nick, new messages from the current
user and the "Autojoined <jid> as <nick>" message would show the wrong
one. This commit fixes that problem.

It shouldn't happen that we get the presence stanza without a resource.
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6120
```
Implementation Note: It is the server's responsibility to deliver
only stanzas that are addressed to the client's full JID or the
user's bare JID; thus, there is no need for the client to check
the 'to' address of incoming stanzas. However, if the client does
check the 'to' address then it is suggested to check at most the
bare JID portion (not the full JID), since the 'to' address might
be the user's bare JID, the client's current full JID, or even a
full JID with a different resourcepart (e.g., in the case of so-
called "offline messages" as described in [XEP-0160]).
```
Let's not segfault though.

create_unique_id() was changed to use UUIDs instead of a counter in the
last commit. Since now it depends on connection_create_uuid() which is
in the xmpp subfolder the function should also be moved there.
Renamed it to connection_create_stanza_id() and moved it to
src/xmpp/connection.c.
